The safety and security of attendees, suppliers and employees is a priority for MCI. We have robust processes in place for assessing the health and safety risk of each of our 5,000+ annual events. Our global health and safety audit tool, which is mandatory for every event, produces an automatic report based on ten comprehensive criteria, from food safety, to venue security to transport.
This is complemented by a detailed evaluation in real-time from an official, outside security service on the risk levels of each host country in terms of geopolitical and criminal factors – including terrorism and natural disaster.
In terms of security onsite, we always work closely with local authorities and venue security staff. For large events we adopt a three-pronged approach, adding in an additional layer of security: a set of specialist police, firefighters and medical staff accustomed to working on large events to support these two teams.
Here at MCI, we are constantly innovating our approach to health and safety to make sure that our attendees stay up to date, and stay safe, wherever in the world their event is taking place.
